SUMMER 2015 is now upon us and as each day unfolds, the people of Soccksargen are very much excited for the the much awaited “Welcome to Summer” of Sarangani’s most famous tourist destination, the white sand beaches of Glan.

We are talking about Glan’s 5th Mahin Beach Festival 2015 that transpires this weekend of April 17-19, 2015 at the white sand beach strip of Barangay Gumasa, about 10 minutes away from the center of the 100-year old municipality.

The term “MAHIN” is the B'laan term for Beach, Ocean, Sea.

The Mahin Beach Festival, now on its fifth year is Glan’s way of saying hello to summer.  The municipal government of Glan which celebrated its highly fruitful 100th Foundation Anniversary in October 2014 is ensuring that their beach festival will give tourists and visitors more than enough reasons to come  and enjoy their awesome white sand beaches during this month of April,  aside from the iconicSarBay Fest that will be held much later in May 15-17, 2015.

In other words, Mahin 2015 Beach Festival is Sarangani'sWelcome to Summer as it complements the now decade-oldSarBay Fest 2015's Ode to Summer. Both festivals confirms Glan, Sarangani's reputation as the Summer Beach Capital of South Central Mindanao and Top Tourism Draw.

The 5th Mahin Beach Festival is three happy days of festivities right in Gumasa, Glan, the same activity area ofSarBay Fest.  The Honorable Glan Mayor James “Tata” Yap, has committed  a beach festival on a much grander scale this year, promising a #PerfectSummer for everyone.
